Something Strange

I've always been a very big fan of Nobuo Uematsu - it more or less originates from my love for Final Fantasy VIII. The driving (silly, yes) bass lines and curious tones in all of those tracks alwasy filled me with happiness. I remember playing that game when I'd wake up early for school, or when I got out of school. I also recall my cousin and I having a sleepover, we were both obsessed with VIII - my mother bought me the players guide for the game so obviously I brought it with me so we could read over it and come up with easy ways to progress to disc 4. Long story short - after all of that exposition, it's about 3am, he sits up (he was sleeping prior to this) looks me in the eyes and says;

"Headmaster Cid is such a doof."

Instantly falling right back to sleep after. So this game has a lot more meaning to me than just being a simple jRPG that I absolutely love (regardless of how annoying drawing and junctioning is) and it's not just the music. So if ever I reference it, that's why!

This is a pretty far cry from the sounds of Nobuo Uematsu but I'm pretty OK with that, at the end of the day, this is just a track inspired by video games in general!

End.
